The Society for Technical Communication (STC) has made the article by Cherryleaf’s Ellis Pratt
A Different Perspective on Measuring the Value of Technical Communication
(Intercom July 2009) available for anyone to download.

It is great to see that Ellis Pratt and Cherryleaf can benefit from their creation and contribution to a journal.
Creative Commons founder Lawrence “Larry” Lessig spoke of journal restrictions where authors of papers submitted lost their own rights due to the monetary subscription models the journal databases operate on. He made the mistake once and refused to agree to such silly terms again… another case for the Creative Commons.
As for my view on the article itself, it is interesting reading but conclusion is much of the same old you probably already know. I’m more excited about its existence and it being accessible.
